Making sure that you have a solid wellness routine is a great way to practice self-love and ensure that you’re caring for yourself regularly in the best possible way. Here are some new, easy, and simple ways to create a wellness routine and make it your own.
What is A Wellness Routine?
A Wellness routine is a daily, weekly, or monthly schedule that incorporates all your healthy habits which can include but is not limited to movements, sleep, work-life balance, and self-care activities.
The best routine will support you on rough days and give you positive energy on your best days. You want to make sure that whatever you put in your routine you enjoy it and feel at ease with it. None of it should feel like a chore or a bore, it’s whatever makes you feel great should go into your routine. 1
Why Do You Need A Wellness Routine
Besides just needing a break from life sometimes having a routine to fall back on when you need a break is refreshing in itself. But here are some other reasons.
Help Mental Health
How many of us are just a few seconds away from a crash? A few of us I bet and it’s natural to happen. Having a wellness routine and an easy pick-me-up on the bad days. It’s a way to cope with the harsh reality and it’s refreshing.

As I talk to more people many don’t have something to relax them, and that’s why we sometimes turn to other substances that are supposed to ease our minds but instead only mask the real issues. Finding a way to relax mentally is a great start to a healthy and happier life.

Stress can cloud your mind and judgment. Simply practicing a real-life wellness routine will give you exactly what you need to think clearly and rationally.

Great Things To Add To Your Wellness Routine
As you start your wellness journey here are some things that you might want to add to your routine.
More than half of adults don’t drink water, can you believe that? It can be hard if I’m honest I didn’t drink a ton before I carried a water bottle with me. Having a reusable water bottle with me makes sure that I stay hydrated and care for myself properly.
Moving doesn’t have to be a lot, go for a walk, play with your pet, go dancing just something to be more active. Not only do you feel better your body feels better even if you just stretch regularly you can check out my article about how stretching helps you live longer here.
A little time to focus on your breathing and calming your mind can have an instantly calming effect on your mind and can perk you up. Meditation doesn’t have to be sitting down in a quiet room. Set Bedtime & Awake Time
Waking up at the same time every day (even on weekends) helps your body get in a set cycle so it can get in the right amount of sleep and you can and will be refreshed in the morning. You will able to get out of bed easier and not drag as much in the morning if you wake up at the same time every day.
