CBD oil benefits have been known for a while. Many studies have come out speaking about how a CBD-rich treatment has a beneficial impact on pain, anxiety, depression, and overall well-being. I use CBD oil almost every day for my dog’s anxiety and my own. It helps me relax and keep a clear mind. I heard a lot about CBD back in 2019 and was admittedly skeptical since it blew up so fast and there wasn’t a lot of research about it. After trying it for myself and seeing how it works I can say it’s one of the products I try before I go to anything else. If you’re still on the fence or you don’t know much about CBD oil benefits continue to read it’s a fascinating natural remedy that now has the backing to show its effectiveness.
First, What Is CBD?
CBD is a chemical found in marijuana without THC. Even though CBD is from marijuana because it doesn’t have THC you won’t get high from it or have any type of intoxication. While it is still controversial because of where the chemical originates with so many benefits of the product people are growing more and more accepting.
Surprising Benefits of CBD
As previously stated CBD oil benefits have been known for a while in this section we will talk about the most popular benefits as well as the studies that back this up.
Anxiety Relief
CBD oil may be able to help you manage anxiety. Researchers think it might change the way the brain responds to serotonin. Studies show that 600 mg of CBD oil helped reduce stress, decrease the effects of anxiety like increased heart rate and help you relax enough to sleep in cases of insomnia. There are many CBD products for anxiety relief I use this brand here.
Anti-Seizure
While still in its early stage of testing, there have been some promising reports of CBD helping in epilepsy. A study in 2016 worked with a group of 214 people with epilepsy. the participants added oral doses of 2 mg to 5 mg of CBD in addition to their current anti-epilepsy medication. Over the 12-week study, it was shown that the participants had 36.5% fewer seizures per month.
In 2020 researchers administered CBD topically to a group of patients with symptomatic peripheral neuropathy while another group was given a placebo. Results showed a significant reduction of sharp pains, cold and itchy sensations in those who used topical CBD oil than those who used a placebo.
Ease Diabetic Complications
Tests on human cells found that CBD oil helps reduce the effects of high glucose levels on other cells which typically precedes the development of diabetes and various complications. It’s also been shown to decrease their levels of resistin (the protein that regulates sugar levels) and increase their levels of glucose-dependent insulinotropic peptide (a hormone that ensures sufficient release of insulin from digestive food) CBD could be a natural treatment for diabetes.*
A study in 2006 found that Sativex – a CBD-based botanical drug in the UK- promoted a statistically significant improvement in quality of sleep, pain during movement, and pain at rest in patients with rheumatoid arthritis. Later in 2018 a test with 250 – 500 mil dose daily showed improvement with a group that received the 250 ml not the 500 ml group also this proved to have more effect on women than on men. You can find products for arthritis pain here
There are many MANY more studies that show CBD oil benefits that can be shown. If you would like to read on the sources are listed below. Let’s move on to how we can use the product.
CBD Oil Formulations
CBD oil can come in many different ways that are convenient for most lifestyles. Whether you’re on the go or decide to take the more scenic route in life there’s a formulation for you!
Oils also known as tincture are the first way that people are introduced to CBD. This formulation is great if you want to experiment more with the product and want to experiment with where you can put it or if you want a purer version that’s faster acting.
Gummies are very popular as well as capsules because there convenient just like the oils you can pop them in and go. This version however is absorbed through the digestive system so it does take a while to take effect, but on the upside, you know the exact dosage as opposed to the oil.
Topical Rubs or balm are really good if you’re looking to relieve any pains or aches so for those that have arthritis or athletes you can rub them in and it’s almost instant relief. Using CBD oil the health benefits as far as regulating heart rate or anxiety do not occur with this formulation.
Powders are amazing in a smoothie or coffee, latte whatever. Some even have different flavors and are in protein powders. They’re really easy to incorporate into a fitness routine or if you want to you can mix it in with some pancakes to get those CBD oil benefits with breakfast!
Using CBD Oil
Now that we have an idea of the many CBD oil benefits as well as its formulations. Now it’s time to use them!
Oils
This is my favorite way to take CBD, You place the oil directly under the tongue for better absorption and hold it there for about a minute before swallowing. The benefit of cbd oil under the tongue is it inserts into the bloodstream faster due to the sublingual glands under there. One of the best CBD oil brands is CannazAll I use them all the time primarily their oil and I love it. You can grab it here.
Gummies & Capsules
For more consistent dosages this is great. You can use them when needed but for the best results, you want to take them regularly at the same time to build up the CBD oil in your system. There’s a full collection of gummies here.
Topical Rubs Or Balm
This is a great option if you want to use this for joint pain. There have been studies showing that massaging CBD Oils directly on the joints in question helps relieve the pain quicker. You can grab a balm or two here.
If you’re not sure about the dosage please consult your doctor, consult your doctor if you’re considering taking new medication at all. While I do conduct as much research as I can I don’t in any way replace a doctor. I hope you found this information helpful and hope it gave you new insight into the benefits of CBD oil.
