How To Create An Effective Mood Board

moodboard

Having a mood board is a great way to keep your mind focused on your big-picture goals. It gives you a great visual of what your goals are and what you’re working towards. I like to use mood boards to remind me to keep going and that my life is what I make it.

So let’s get to it.

The first thing is I gather all my pictures. I usually find them off Pinterest. I search for things that of course, I aspire to be and remind me of my goals in life. I like to have 3 to 4 photos of how I visualize my life being and then a quote that I want to live this chapter of my life.

Once I have my quotes together then I put them in order by importance. The photos on the top are obviously the most important, middle are things that I hope to accomplish in the next few months. Then at the bottom its things that would be nice to have but not as important. I like to put my quote in the middle because it reminds me that all this is possible if I dedicate my time to it and keep it in the forefront of my mind.

I add mine to an old picture frame but you can add it to a poster board or even just put it on the wall as long as you can see it every day. It’s best to update this when you’re at a new place in your life and have new goals to make sure you keep your mind on your goals. Once you place it up admire your work then get to work.

Having a mood board has been shown to increase productivity since it gives you a visual representation of your goal it makes it more obtainable. I hope you use this information to reach for your dreams. Until next time.
