Self-care is such a huge staple in my life. I’m a firm believer in the quote ” You can’t take care of anyone else if you’re not caring for yourself” and it pretty much explains itself. You have to care and make sure that you’re doing well in order to spread that love and joy to those around you. Today I want to share with you the best ways I’ve found to take care of yourself and everyone else.
- Eat something green and healthy. There’s no doubt that eating something good for you sets you on the path to happiness throughout the day. In fact, according to a study at the Queensland University in Australia eating fruits and vegetables can boost your happiness before it boosts your health. So even if it’s just a breakfast smoothie or an Acai bowl it starts you out (and keeps you) on the right track.
- Move around a bit Anything to get me moving and active is enough to get any stress or tension out of your body and keep you focused on the future. I have two ways to boost my moods either I dance or I do yoga they keep me loose and they’re fun to do!
- Treat Yourself this doesn’t have to be about spending money but it can be if you want. But just something that makes you happy or somewhere or doing something that you wanted to do. Just live your life for yourself.
- Cleanse in the bath. After the day is done finish off with a nice bath rinse away any stress or negative energy that you may have and remember the amazing day that you’ve had. Hold on to that energy and keep it with you, it’s your joy don’t lose it!
