I Tried The TikTok 12-3-30 Fat Burning Workout

I recently heard of a new TikTok trend that has the gym heads in love called the 12-3-30 workout.

What it is, you need to walk on a steep level ’12 incline on a 3 miles speed for 30 minutes, 5 times a week for it to make a difference. The workout seemed simple enough and I had already been walking on a treadmill for about an hour at a normal pace to just make sure I was doing some movement throughout the week. It does get tedious after a while and it would be nice to try out something new and challenging. So I turned up the incline, put on a Michelle McDaniel video, and got to work! Here’s how it went.

This was intense I really didn’t think it was going to be that bad. I usually do a 3-3.5 incline because it’s enough to get my heart rate up, the 12 made me hold on to the handlebars to keep me from falling. I tried a few times to go without holding on but I kept feeling like I was about to fall, also 3 speed is really fast when you’re going up a steep incline. After the 30 minutes, I was dripping sweat, literally sweating bullets, when I went home my face was flushed and I felt amazing. It was a really nice change of pace for me and really felt like it was a real workout. I’ll be honest I haven’t felt like that in a while, it’s an awesome low impact workout for the lower body and a great way to help get your blood flowing and see if you’re looking to get back into working out.
