I love fragrances it can affect your mood and bring either peace or despair. It all depends on the energy you bring and what essential oils they use in the fragrance. For the longest time, I wanted a signature scent. Something that smelt good on me and as a home scent. It needed to be something just for me and while I did find some that worked on me they didn’t make it in a scent for the home. I decided to create my own, I mean if Eryka Badu can make her own scent why couldn’t I? So I did.
I took inspiration from some home perfumes that were already used that had essential oils in them. I found out on indigo wild that their Zum mist spray is a body mist and room spray, it’s exactly what I’m looking for and it’s plant-based!
What’s In The Fragrance Spray
Listed under their ingredients are essential oils, water, and glycerin.
What is glycerin you might ask? Vegetable glycerin and oil is a fixative agents that will keep your body spray together and make your fragrance stick to your skin and last longer. I thought glycerin would be hard to find but it’s pretty common. Now even though I had the right ingredients, It’s time to make the spray! Here’s the recipe I used.
- 1 tablespoon of glycerin
- 6 oz of water ( I used moon water but any water you use is fine)
- And about 35-38 drops of essential oil. I love sandalwood and citrus I mixed a little bit of mint in to make it feel a bit fresher.
- Shake it well and boom baby you have your own body mist.
I tried using this in body oil as well. Just use an unscented oil and mix and put about 10 -20 drops of the essential oil mixture in the oil and shake well.
Now you have an easy way to create your own fragrance it’s something that will save you time and energy. You can invoke your own energy in the spray and spread it around your body and house to create the scent and energy for yourself.
It’s a universal mixture and it’s so nice not having to go out and buy fragrance and it’s nice to say “this is my own personal mixture” like it’s an exclusive baby and you can mix it in with anything.
