We all have days when everything is just wrong and we can’t see the forest for all the trees. We’re human and its weird to be happy all the time it’s not realistic. When you get in that mood it’s good to remind yourself either why you do what you do and what you’re grateful for. Practicing Gratitude helps us remember all the things we are grateful for when we are down. That’s why I created the Gratitude jar so I can quickly remind myself of all the amazing things in my life. Let me tell you about it.
Why should you create one?
I can’t put it quite into words but I’m short this jar is to remind you what your little bit of happiness is. It’s something that you can do as a way of practicing gratitude and remain in a calm mindset while going about your day-to-day just when you need a little pick me up.
What is a gratitude jar?
A gratitude jar is a little jar full of all the things you like, love, or are simply happy you have. You don’t have to fill it up as soon as you start you can add to it whenever you’re in a good mood or something good happens. Then when you’re upset and need a pick me up refer back to the jar and read as many as you need til you’re feeling like yourself again.

How do I make a gratitude jar?
First grab a jar doesn’t matter the type just any old jar. I did a quick cleanse before I filled mine up but it’s not necessary. Once you’re ready, calm your mind and write down things that make you smile. Mine was my dog the love of my life, a short story about how I kicked one day’s butt when everything was against me, reminding myself that I’m loved and cared for, my apartment it is my safe space, and lastly the lyric from my empowerment song that reminds me to keep running.
Continue adding until it’s full then make another one. There’s so much of life we take for granted especially when the going gets tough but that’s when we need to practice gratitude the most. I hope this post finds you in high spirits and helps you on your journey. Thank you for reading and please follow me on Facebook and Instagram.
